The long-range slope monitoring radar adopts the MIMO system and is based on differential interferometry technology. It measures the deformation of the radial distance between multiple target corner reflectors (or the structure’s own reflectors) deployed on the structure under test and the radar, and then calculates the minute displacement of the slope surface by combining the measurement with geometric calculations.

During deployment, it is necessary to ensure that the corner reflector is firmly fixed on the ground surface, with no obstruction and a clear line of sight between it and the radar. A single radar unit can measure

The moving distance and speed of the corner reflector. If conditions permit, multiple radars can be deployed to observe the corner reflector simultaneously. The results of these observations can be verified. When the angle between the multiple radars and the corner reflector is large, the moving direction and angle of the corner reflector can be accurately estimated.

1. The radar measurement accuracy can reach 2mm , and the accuracy for short-term deformation monitoring can reach 0.1mm ;

2. In practical work, the radar’s operating measurement mode can be adjusted in real time according to the power supply situation on site. This is especially important when there is no mains power supply in the field. This can reduce the radar’s operating frequency to achieve low power consumption and long-term operation;

3. Radar equipment has certain security advantages. Since radar generally operates on stable ground surfaces and is not easily damaged, the monitored slopes are equipped with passive corner reflectors, which are relatively low in cost.

4. It can work around the clock and in all weather conditions, unaffected by natural conditions such as sunlight, dust, wind, rain, snow, and fog.
